Travel has always been one of my biggest sources of inspiration. I traveled many places, but some stay still a mystery for me. Like Africa. I heard many stories about Sudan and Kenya and I grew up with a lot of African influences in our home, since my dad was there for Doctors without Borders.
This painting is my own interpretation of dancing women in Africa. Not meant to be exact or realistic, but a feeling. Movement, rhythm, and strength — the way it stayed with me in my head.

All original paintings are created by me - Paulien Stélian, the artist behind Mine de Tortue.
I use mostly acrylic paints, together with medium gels, texture pastes and other materials that I can get my hand on.

Framing
Framing
The original paintings come without framing. I always paint the sides as well, so you can hang the painting unframed beautifully.
You can of course always frame it yourself at a local framing shop.

All original paintings are shipped from my studio in Voorburg, the Netherlands.
Free shipping, delivery takes between 5-8 business days.
When your artwork is shipped, you’ll receive an email with a tracking link that is linked to the carriers website. That way you can follow the status of your shipment.
